Crown & Bridges
Crowns, also called caps, cover teeth to restore them to an appropriate size and shape after large fillings, chips or breaks, and weakening forces, like grinding. They also provide strength to weakened or damaged teeth. The precise preparation, molding, and fitting of your crown to your tooth result in a comfortable and natural-looking fit.
If you need to replace one or more missing teeth, a bridge can help. Bridges attach to crowns to close gaps caused by missing teeth. Traditional bridges are made up of two crowns that are permanently attached to teeth on either side of the gap, plus an artificial tooth or teeth in the middle. Bridges help preventing the shifting of surrounding teeth that can lead to more extensive restorations in the future.
Dentures
If your natural teeth have become too damaged to save with other restorative procedures, dentures are a great solution to help maintain the shape of your face and improve the appearance of your smile. At River Rock Dental, our doctors use only the best materials to fabricate your dentures. The production and fitting of your dentures will take three to four appointments, but the time and effort put into them help the dentures look just like natural teeth.
Our team of family dentists will continue to help you with your new smile after your dentures have been fitted until you are used to your new teeth. They will make minor modifications as needed to ensure that your new smile is both beautiful and comfortable.
Implants
Fillings
At River Rock Dental, we use composite (white) fillings on all of our patients.
Even though composite fillings require more skill from the dentist, they restore the original strength of the tooth by bonding to the surrounding tooth structure. So, we’ll never use silver (mercury) fillings as they cause more complications with tooth repair and are far more prone to cracking.
Oral Surgery
While our goal at River Rock Dental is to preserve as much of your natural smile as possible, there are some dental issues — such as severe trauma or decay — that cannot be solved with preventive care alone. These issues may require oral surgery, which all of our offices are equipped to offer on-site.
