Dr. Shahrzad Embry
DDSDr. Shahrzad Embry is a Doctor of Dental Surgery with over three decades of experience in general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. She completed her undergraduate studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and earned her DDS from the University of Southern California. Dr. Embry has pursued extensive advanced training in oral implantology, including All-on-4 treatment, sinus augmentation, bone grafting, and conscious sedation, enabling her to provide comprehensive implant care from surgery through final restoration.
Throughout her career, Dr. Embry has served as a managing dentist, private practice owner, and traveling implant surgeon, performing thousands of implant procedures across a wide range of clinical settings. She is widely recognized for her clinical expertise as well as her leadership and mentorship, regularly training and guiding other dentists in diagnosis, treatment planning, quality of care, and patient communication. Her approach combines advanced clinical skill with a strong commitment to patient education, comfort, and long-term oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Embry is a devoted wife, mother to a daughter and a son, along with a bernadoodle named Brodie. Her family life plays an important role in shaping her patient-centered philosophy, emphasizing empathy, honesty, and clear communication. She is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful environment where patients feel understood, supported, and confident in their care.
Dr. Christina Aponte
OrthodontistDr. Christina Aponte is an orthodontist known for her personalized care and commitment to helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. She completed her orthodontic residency at BronxCare Health System in New York City, where she received advanced training in modern orthodontic techniques, including clear aligners and fixed bracket systems.
Dr. Aponte earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College and holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University at Buffalo. Her strong academic background and passion for oral health have made the journey as enjoyable as the results.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Aponte is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.
Outside of the office, she enjoys attending improv and stand-up comedy shows and is an enthusiastic supporter of her favorite sports teams, the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees.

Dr. Luis T. Craig, DMD
Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Craig is a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training in the full scope of oral surgery. His expertise includes tooth extractions, dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, TMJ surgery and TMD treatment, advanced bone regeneration, free gingival grafting, pathology diagnosis and reconstruction, and the diagnosis and treatment of odontogenic infections. In addition to oral surgery, Dr. Craig has advanced training in facial aesthetics and cosmetic surgery, performing procedures such as facelifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), endoscopic brow lifts, facial rejuvenation, fat transfer, and laser skin resurfacing.
During his military career, Dr. Craig served as Chief of Oral Surgery at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. There, he led complex head and neck surgeries to stabilize and reconstruct facial injuries sustained by service members, including severe trauma and gunshot wounds. His exceptional leadership and service earned him a recommendation for the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal in 2014. As a Major in the United States Army, he also volunteered his expertise to perform life-changing cleft lip and palate surgeries for Afghan children.
Dedicated to serving others, Dr. Craig has participated in humanitarian dental missions to Honduras and Venezuela, providing surgical care to underserved communities. His commitment to improving lives extends beyond the operating room through compassionate, patient-centered care and a passion for restoring both function and confidence.
Dr. Craig is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University School of Dentistry after completing a Master of Arts in Biology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has also completed advanced training in laser surgery, cosmetic maxillofacial surgery, TMJ surgery, zygomatic and All-on-4® dental implant placement, ballistic injury management, and advanced cardiovascular life support.
An active member of several professional organizations, Dr. Craig belongs to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the American Society for Laser Medicine. Fluent in Spanish, he is committed to providing exceptional surgical care to a diverse patient population while combining advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate approach.
