Crowns & Bridges
Crowns, also called caps, cover teeth to restore them to an appropriate size and shape after large fillings, chips or breaks, and weakening forces like grinding. They also provide strength to weakened or damaged teeth. The precise preparation, molding, and fitting of your crown to your tooth result in a comfortable and natural-looking fit.
If you need to replace one or more missing teeth, a bridge can help. Bridges attach to crowns to close gaps caused by missing teeth. Traditional bridges are made up of two crowns that are permanently attached to teeth on either side of the gap, plus an artificial tooth or teeth in the middle. Bridges help preventing the shifting of surrounding teeth that can lead to more extensive restorations in the future.
If your natural teeth have become too damaged to save with other restorative procedures, dentures are a great solution to help maintain the shape of your face and improve the appearance of your smile. At River Rock Dental, our doctors use only the best materials to fabricate your dentures. The production and fitting of your dentures will take three to four appointments, but the time and effort put into them help the dentures look just like natural teeth.
Our team of family dentists will continue to help you with your new smile after your dentures have been fitted by guiding you through getting used to your new teeth. They will make minor modifications as needed to ensure that your new smile is both beautiful and comfortable.
If you’re missing teeth and struggling with uncomfortable or poorly fitting dentures, dental implants may be just what you need. Implants permanently replace missing teeth, whether you’re missing one or many, and can also help prevent future bone loss. The team at River Rock Dental is trained in both the placement and restoration phases of implants, so you can be sure your restoration will look and feel natural and beautiful for years to come.
At River Rock Dental, we are only using mercury-safe fillings and provide mercury safe dentistry. Instead of using mercury fillings such as amalgam, we only do composite / white fillings on all of our patients. We believe in a safe, natural smile and providing healthy dentistry beyond the office visit. Even though composite fillings require more skill from the dentist, they restore the original strength to the tooth by bonding to the surrounding tooth structure. Silver fillings require a shaping of the tooth (basically a hole) so it doesn’t fall out as it does not bond to the tooth. Often, this requires creating a shell of enamel around the silver filling which can then crack much easier and requires caps and other, more profound, restorative dental work. River Rock Dental Family Dentist is committed in providing the safest, least invasive and most beneficial work to our patients to keep their teeth healthy and strong as long as possible.

Porcelain veneers are a great way to quickly straighten teeth, close gaps, repair chips, or whiten very discolored teeth. Veneers are thin, custom-made casings applied to the front side of your teeth to change their shape, size, color, or general appearance. The durable, tooth-colored material looks and feels natural in your mouth, giving your smile an instant lift.
Professional Teeth Whitening
A whiter smile can make a sure difference in your life by increasing your confidence and helping you make better first impressions. At River Rock Dental, we offer custom-made whitening trays made especially for you to use in the convenience of your own home. The trays are molded to fit your teeth, and when used in conjunction with our professional-strength whitening gel, will provide you with dramatic results.

Have you skipped out on seeing the dentist for years because you’re nervous about pain, drilling, or just general discomfort? Dental anxiety is something many patients suffer from, and the missed cleanings can lead to the need for more extensive and invasive work down the road.
At River Rock Dental, we want you to feel comfortable and at ease while visiting us, and we want to make sure your teeth are well taken care of. That’s why we offer an array of relaxing sedation options for patients, ranging from gentle laughing gas to IV sedation.
Often called laughing gas, nitrous oxide is safe for patients of all ages with mild dental anxiety. Administered through a mask over the nose, it causes calm and relaxed feelings while leaving patients fully conscious throughout their procedure. The effects are easily reversed once the treatment is over. Nitrous oxide increases your pain threshold, making treatments more comfortable.
IV sedation is a great option for patients suffering from severe dental anxiety or those having extensive dental work done. This method allows you to completely relax while still being able to communicate with your doctor if need be. With IV sedation, you may feel as though you’re sleeping, but you are actually only experiencing an extremely deep sense of relaxation.
While most procedures don’t require it, some are complex enough that the patient will need general anesthesia. If you’re have wisdom teeth removed or having dental implants placed, general anesthesia may be the best sedation method for you.
General anesthesia in dentistry is typically less invasive than with other types of surgeries, but it still will leave you unconscious and unable to feel pain for the duration of your surgery. Our team of family dentists has undergone specialized training to administer general anesthesia, so you can rest easy that your sedation and dental procedure will go smoothly.
Many patients report that most of the discomfort they feel when having dental procedures done is the initial numbing shot. The revolutionary DentalVibe Injection Comfort System allows our team to administer numbing injections with little to no discomfort. The system emits high-frequency vibrations that interrupt the pain signals that are sent to your brain, blocking the pain from even registering.
While most patients don’t feel much discomfort or after effects from their sedation, you might feel somewhat wobbly or off-balance directly after your treatment while the medication wears off. We’ll send you home with simple, helpful directions for the rest of your day. We highly recommend that you plan to have someone drive you to and from your appointment if you will be undergoing sedation.
We look forward to treating you!Schedule an Appointment
